9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, 9 am to 2 pm on Saturday

The West Yellowhead Regional Landfill wishes to advise all of their customers that user fees are increasing $8.00 per tonne effective April 1st, 2016.  The increase in rates is required to sustain the Capital Reserve Fund for future development.  The new rates will be $54.00 per tonne for domestic, commercial and construction waste.

Copies of the “2017 Fee Schedule” are available at the West Yellowhead Regional Landfill, the Infrastructure Services Building, or online (PDF). The 2018 Fee Schedule will come into effect April 1, 2018; find that schedule here. General Information

Residents can drop off household toxic round-up and e-waste materials year round at the West Yellowhead Regional Landfill.

Residential customers may bring for free:

  • Aerosol Cans
  • Appliances (Fridges, Stoves, Washers, dryers & ovens)
  • Batteries
  • Clean yard waste & fill
  • Cleaning Products
  • E-waste (computers & TV's)
  • Fluorescent Tubes
  • Furniture
  • Metals
  • Paint
  • Passenger Tires
  • Propane Tanks
  • Used Oil & Filters
  • Wood
All material must be sorted and placed as directed into the appropriate bins. All wet waste is placed in the Transfer Bins. Fees are in place for special products such as auto hulks and construction waste over 500 kilograms.
