Legislative services provided by the Town of Hinton include:

• Conducting the municipal census
• Managing records
• Managing Town of Hinton boards and committees
• Processing Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) requests
• Providing a commissioner for oaths services
• Planning and organizing municipal elections
• Providing legislative guidance
