Air Travel
Yellowhead County maintains the Jasper-Hinton Airport. The airport is located 10 kilometers northwest of Hinton. It is an unmanned airport with maintenance staff members that keep the airport runways safe and clear of snow, ice, and debris. Highways
Hinton is located along Highway 16 (Yellowhead Highway), a major east-west transportation route from Manitoba to British Columbia. Hinton is a member of the Yellowhead Highway Association.
Traveling north at Highway 16 and 40 Junction is the Bighorn Route to Grande Cache and Grande Prairie. Highway 40 South leads to the small community of Cadomin.
