This program matches isolated people with caring volunteers who have similar interests. Volunteers spend one to two hours per week with their partner or make regular phone calls. Hinton FCSS staff support both clients and volunteers.

We’re looking for friendly, intelligent, respectful, caring and dependable people who care about brightening another person's life.

Free training provided
Volunteers learn:
- communication and listening skills
- mentalhealth
- boundary setting
- aging health issues
- understanding self-awareness and responsibility.
In-person training is on:
- Monday, January 26, 6 -7:30 p.m.
- Monday, February 2, 6 -7:30 p.m.
There’s also a volunteer and client meet-and-greet on Monday, February 9, 6 – 7 p.m. at FCSS in Hinton.
