Winter Magic Festival


February 8 - 23, 2020 various locations around Hinton plus Gregg Lake, Nordic Centre, Maxwell Lake.


The Town of Hinton helps coordinate a magical mixture of art, food, recreation, and family fun events organized by community groups. This winter celebration is a seasonal highlight and has been running for over 30 years! For volunteer and other information please contact the Event Coordinator by phone 780-865-6055 or .

Fohn Festival & Canada Day Celebrations

Hinton's signature event! The Föhn Festival is Hinton's opportunity to celebrate the region's historical significance, connect with neighbors, understand the cultures that make up our community, increase a sense of community pride and showcase our rich diversity to new residents and visitors. The Föhn Festival Society of Hinton is a non-profit organization made up entirely of volunteers. Canada Day [July 1st] celebrations include parade, pancake breakfast, Canada Day cake, and fireworks [June 30th], as well as great entertainment in Green Square the following day!

Wild Mountain Music Festival

July 17-19, 2020 Entrance Ranch   (8km North on Highway 40)


Weekend passes are available with rv/tent camping on-site! The festival features 2 performance stages, beer gardens, food and art vendors, and kids activities. Festival Shuttle Bus to and from Hinton (several pickup/drop-off spots), WMMF General Store on-site for all your festival needs. Weekend passes are available. We are currently seeking festival volunteers as well as sponsors.
