Canada Day Celebrations

July 1, 2023

We are relocating Canada Day celebrations to Gordon Moore Memorial Park next to the Dr. Duncan Murray Recreation Centre.  There will be more parking, more activities, more vendors and more great entertainment on the Encore Showmobile mainstage.


Canada Day festivities at Gordon Moore Park include:

  • Canada Day  Parade (valley route - starting at Crescent Valley School)
  • Canada Day Fireworks (June 30th at 10:30 pm) to kick off the following day's celebrations.
  • Canada Day Cake Cutting
  • Canada Day Pancake Breakfast 
  • Food Vendors and Food Catering Trucks
  • Kids area, Bouncy Castles and Rotary Play and Spray Park
  • Demonstration area
  • Craft Vendors
  • Showmobile Stage (with local entertainers and headliner performers)
  • Licensed lounge area

Next event: July 14-16, 2023,  Entrance Ranch (8km North on Highway 40) 

Weekend passes are available with rv/tent camping on-site! The festival features 2 performance stages, beer gardens, food and art vendors, and kids activities. Festival Shuttle Bus to and from Hinton (several pickup/drop-off spots), WMMF General Store on-site for all your festival needs. Weekend passes are available. We are currently seeking festival volunteers as well as sponsors.

Winter Magic Festival 2022 Winter Magic Festival

Most recent event: February 10-26, 2023, various locations around Hinton, plus Switzer Park, Hinton Nordic Centre, Kelley's Bathtub and Maxwell Lake.

The Town of Hinton helps coordinate a magical mixture of art, food, recreation, and family fun activities organized by community groups. This winter celebration is a seasonal highlight and has been running for 36 years.
