Take part in a fun citizen science project! We'll explore scenic alpine meadows, catch and identify butterflies, and contribute to the University of Alberta species database. Meet at the Green Square in Hinton at 10:00 am (in front of the Travel Alberta Visitor Centre). From Hinton, we'll drive to Cardinal Divide together to explore the alpine meadows and catch gorgeous butterflies. We supply the nets. Please bring a lunch, water bottle, good hiking shoes, warm clothes and rain gear. Bear spray too, if you have it! In case of rain, we'll be discovering wildflowers instead. There's always something to explore! The event runs from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. Stay all day or just for a while.
