Hinton Town Hall Meeting
Hinton Town Council invites all residents to a Town Hall on October 17, 2019, in the West Fraser Guild: Performing Arts Theatre of Hinton. The event will include both a state of the community address from Mayor Michaels, and an extended opportunity to share your thoughts and priorities with Council.

60 Minutes with Council: 7:00 PM (approximately)
Stick around after the meeting to speak with Council and Administration, participate in engagement activities in the foyer, and visit with your fellow Hintonites.
What is 60 Minutes with Council?
Before every Regular Hinton Town Council Meeting, residents are welcome to speak to Council about issues, events, celebrations or concerns during Minute with Council. At the beginning of each regular Council Meeting, Mayor Michaels opens the floor to the public to speak and share with Council members, administration and meeting observers.
60 Minutes with Council takes this well used democratic function, and extends it, allowing for many residents to share their opinions over an hour time slot.
It is important to note that the function of Minute with Council is to share opinion, news, or suggestions - this is not considered a venue for in-depth inquiry.
What if I can't Attend 60 Minutes or the Address?
The Town of Hinton will be issuing communications following the event, encapsulating both the content of the address and a tally of issues and concerns raised. Where further information may be provided, it will be. We will also be capturing the event in a manner similiar to Standing Committee meetings, with video footage to be released via the Town Website once processed.
How can I learn more and RSVP?
The Town of Hinton Facebook page will host an event page, upon which residents may choose to rsvp their attendance, share the event with friends and family, and follow updates. As well, an ongoing online Focus Group will be available to residents to share their thoughts.
