Maxwell Lake Recreation Area Outline Plan Engagement Session

In 2018, the Town of Hinton initiated the Maxwell Lake Recreation Area Outline Plan to develop a vision and enhancement plan. The Outline Plan will identify recommendations for future improvements, amenities and facilities. In November 2018, the Town of Hinton and ISL initiated the first phase of the project by providing several engagement opportunities through in-person events and a survey.

The purpose of this phase was to gather feedback on existing conditions and opportunities, potential parking locations and proposed enhancements. Improving amenities and facilities at the Maxwell Lake Recreation Area was identified as a first priority for the Town as part of the Town’s Parks, Open Space and Trails Master Plan. On March 26, Council directed Administration to engage a public feedback process including an open house regarding the Maxwell Lake Area Recreation Outline Plan. This session offers residents another opportunity to share feedback on the Maxwell Lake Plan.

The Maxwell Lake Recreation Area Outline Plan Engagement Session will be held in the Foyer of Government Centre starting from 4pm - 7pm on Thursday, May 23.
