Traffic Speed on Switzer Drive will be reduced to 30 km/hr during construction, and will remain in effect until September, 2015.

Details

We are pleased to announce that Switzer Drive and the Drinnan Way access have been paved and are now open for public use. See Staging Plan llI Map – the red hatched area defines the work area. Work is now being completed on the access from Government Road.

The Joblin intersection diversion onto the new road structure will be the final completion of this construction anticipated to take place in September, 2015. An updated notice will be sent to the public at that time.

Temporary accesses and/or alternate routing will be in place to maintain access to local businesses and residential housing. Temporary traffic lights and construction signage will be used to direct traffic in a safe and effective manner during the construction area and along detours. Flaggers will also be present when areas of work are close in proximity to traffic flow to maintain safety and flow.

Community Traffic!

We ask our residential community for their support by taking alternate routes to their destination during the construction of Switzer Drive. This will greatly help in alleviating traffic and delays that may occur in reaching your destination on time.

Industrial Commercial Traffic!

Traffic accommodation to Industrial Commercial Traffic will be maintained on Switzer Drive throughout the construction. To our industrial and commercial businesses we ask that you contact the General Contractor, Border Paving, directly to plan for any wide loads, weighted loads or height restricted loads during the construction.
This will allow us to modify the current traffic accommodation plan and have appropriate measures in place to move you through the construction zone as safely and efficiently as possible.
