Morgan Roberts, Chairperson for the Hinton Fohn Festival, provided Council with additional information relating to the matter of the Community Special Events Tents.
Delegations
Charlotte Thomasson spoke to Council about the Imagine Conference providing them with highlights of the mentoring program and the life skills that it provides the participants (self-esteem, planning, responsibility).
Action Items
Community Special Events Tents Council directed Administration to meet with the stakeholders in the community. In the event the groups cannot come to an agreement on Option #2 by Friday at noon, Council directed Administration to proceed with the purchase of community event tents as outlined in Option #1 with funds to come from the Community Grant Program. Both options are outlined in the Direction Request on Page 12 in the Agenda Package.
The next Council Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 12, 2015 in the Committee Room starting at 4:00 p.m.
