Pool Shutdown Progress: Week 6 UpdateOctober 13, 2025 As the Aquatic and Facility Maintenance teams enter the home stretch of the annual pool shutdown, they have been busy wrapping up key projects to prepare for reopening on Tuesday, October 14. Here's a look at what was completed this week: - Installed a new rope swing
- Continued tile work in the steam room
- Rinsed and sumped the pools before filling
- Organized file storage
- Removed calcium buildup from the change rooms
- Updated signage in the viewing area
- Installed pressure gauges on the hot tub jet pump
- Installed one of three panels of the new climbing wall

Pool Climbing Wall Automated Aquatics began installation on October 7. During installation, the manufacturer delivered the wrong hardware, resulting in a brief delay in completing the project. The correct hardware is expected to arrive next week, and Automated Aquatics will return to finish installation as soon as possible.
Hot Tub Maintenance Schedule Change Starting the week of October 20, hot tub maintenance will move from Thursdays to Tuesday mornings. During this time, the hot tub will be drained, cleaned, and refilled — typically taking 2 to 4 hours. The exact reopening time may vary depending on staffing and chemical balance.
