Pool Shutdown Progress: 

Week 3 Update

During week 3 of the Pool Shutdown, the Aquatic and Facility Maintenance teams kept up strong progress. Their focus has been on key maintenance and deep-cleaning projects, moving us closer to reopening with a refreshed and well-prepared space for all to enjoy.

This week, the following tasks were completed or are in progress:

• Installed lights in the deck storage room
• Ongoing tile work in the steam room
• Installed two automatic doors at the entrance to the change rooms
• Hung soap holders in the female gang shower
• Services the main pool pump, which is now in good working condition 
• Continuing tile work in the main pool 
• Snaked drains in the male and female change rooms

Thank you for your patience as this essential work continues. 

In the meantime, all other rec centre amenities remain open, including the bouldering wall, arenas and courts, so come on down to enjoy some indoor recreation.
