Pool Shutdown Progress: 

Week 2 Update

The Aquatic and Facility Maintenance Service Areas continued making great progress during week 2 of Pool Shutdown. The team has been working towards completing important maintenance and deep-cleaning projects that bring us closer to reopening with a refreshed and well-maintained space for everyone to enjoy. 

This week, we completed the following tasks:

• Installed a swimsuit spinner in the women's changeroom
• Installed a change table in the women's changeroom
• Free Feminine hygiene dispenser installed 
• Tile work in the Main Pool
• Deep-cleaned and relabeled the chemical room 
• Installed lights in the deck storage rooms
• Replaced Acid Lines
• Maintained Acid Pumps
• Deep-cleaned water test room
• Maintained Sand Vessels
• Replaced the hot tub Sand Vessel

Thank you for your patience as this essential work continues. 

In the meantime, all other rec centre amenities remain open, including the bouldering wall, arenas and courts, so come on down to enjoy some indoor recreation.
