Apply Today! Intermunicipal Subdivision and Development Appeal Board

The Town of Hinton is excited to announce that applications are now open for the Intermunicipal Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (ISDAB). This is a wonderful opportunity for community members to get involved and make a difference in our town.

What is it?

The ISDAB listens to appeals on decisions made by the Town's Subdivision Authority and Development Authority in both the Town of Hinton and the Town of Edson. Board members are responsible for issuing decisions based on the evidence presented by the parties at a hearing while adhering to applicable and current legislation.

Who is it?

Council will select up to five members from our municipality to sit on the board. Members shall attend mandatory training as determined necessary by the municipalities.

How long is it?

Each municipality selects members from their community who are appointed for a three-year term. Board members are compensated for any training and hearings they attend.

When is it?

Applications are due by August 14th, 2024, at midnight if submitted online or by 4 p.m. if submitted in person at the Government Center. Training is provided.
