Action Items
1. RCMP & Municipal Enforcement Services
A Motion that Council direct administration to authorize signing a memo of understanding for municipal funding for 16 FTE member positions with the local RCMP detachment was DEFEATED 2-4.
A Motion that Council direct administration to authorize the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for municipal funding of 17 FTE member positions with the local RCMP detachment CARRIED 5-1.
2. Youth Advisory Council - Vacant Positions
Council accepted the report for information only and no further applications are sought for the 2022-2023 Hinton Youth Advisory Council term.
3. Pay Principle Policy
A Motion that Council approve the Pay Principles Policy HR 1902 with amendments to clause 2.2 and 4.8 to reflect the 60th percentile was DEFEATED 1-5.
A Motion that Council to approve the Draft Pay Principles Policy HR1902 as presented CARRIED 5-1.
4. Beaver Boardwalk Community Oversight Committee Terms of Reference
Council gave first, second, and third reading to the Beaver Boardwalk Community Oversight Committee Bylaw No. 1158-1.
5. Beaver Boardwalk Community Oversight Committee Vacancy
Council directed Administration to advertise to fill the vacancy on the Beaver Boardwalk Community Oversight Committee and return eligible applications to Council as soon as available.
6. Gregg Avenue Sidewalk
Council asked about the upcoming construction on Gregg Avenue and was sidewalk installation was being considered. Winston Rossouw, Director of Infrastructure and Development Services advised that a sidewalk program was developed last year and Administration will bring forward a proposal in the 2024 Budget.
