Hinton Receives Rural Renewal Stream Designation
December 8, 2022
The Town of Hinton is delighted to announce that Hinton has become a Designated Community under the Rural Renewal Stream (RRS) of the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program.
The Rural Renewal Stream offers eligible candidates the opportunity to immigrate to Alberta as a Provincial Nominee with the formal support of a municipal government. The aim is to fill local labour gaps by empowering Hinton employers to recruit and retain foreign nationals to live, work, and settle in our community.
Hinton’s Rural Renewal Stream (RRS) Committee has its first meeting December 12, 2022, to plan the launch of the program in our community, scheduled for early January 2023.
Further information about the RRS in Hinton will be released as soon as it becomes available, along with a dedicated page on the Town of Hinton website.
Candidates can apply on their own using the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program portal at www.alberta.ca/aaip-rural-renewal-stream.aspx. Here, you can also learn more about Designated Communities, eligibility criteria, how to apply, and what to do after you are nominated.
