Claire Jones Swim Meet
Next Weekend 

Since 2013, when Claire Jones was taken from our community in a tragic automobile accident, a memorial swim meet has been held in her honour. The event, hosted by our communities own Hinton Stingrays Junior Lifeguard Swim Club, welcomes lifeguards and swimmers from across Alberta.

It all gets underway next Saturday, November 26, from 7am to 3pm at the Dr. Duncan Murray Recreation Centre Pool.

While the pool and steam room will be closed to the public, we would like to invite any interested community members to join us on this day to celebrate Claire's memory as well as her dedication to lifeguarding and the lifesaving sport.

If you haven't experienced the sport of lifesaving, this is an excellent opportunity to pop by the pool and check out the action.

Please note the pool will also be closed on Friday, November 25, from 6:30pm for set-up for the swim meet. Thank you for your understanding.
