Arena Heaters Update

The Town of Hinton maintenance team is working hard to return heat to the Dr. Duncan Murray Recreation Centre arenas.

Due to a mechanical issue within the ice plant, the heaters in both the Steve Hotchkiss and Bill Thomson arenas have been temporarily turned off in order to maintain ice temperatures and usability for hockey, skating, ringette, etc.

The mechanical issue has been identified, new parts have been ordered, and the parts will be installed as soon as they arrive, in approximately two to three weeks.

This remedial work remains a priority for the Town. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we persevere to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
