At the beginning of each regular Council Meeting, Mayor Michaels opens the floor to the public to speak and share with Council members, administration and meeting observers.

Action Items 1. Bylaw No 1161-1 Non-Residential Tax Incentive Bylaw Amendments Council gave first, second, and third reading of Bylaw No. 1161-1 Non- Residential Tax Incentive Bylaw as presented.
2. Bylaw No 1139-1 Appointment of Designated Officers Amendment Council gave first, second, and third reading of Bylaw No. 1139-1 amending Bylaw 1139 Appointment of Designated Officers as presented.
3. Road Closure Bylaw No 1174 Council gave first reading for Road Closure Bylaw No. 1174 as presented and further request that Administration set a public hearing date for Road Closure Bylaw No. 1174 for October 18, 2022.
4. Appointment of Chief Administrative Officer Jordan Panasiuk Council appointed Jordan Panasiuk as Chief Administrative Officer effective Monday, October 17, 2022, at 12:01 am.
5. Reconsideration of motion MD-2678 (verbal) Council accepted the update for information (re: Reconsideration of motion MD-2678)

1. ATCO Gas and Pipelines Ltd. Franchise Agreement Council moved to postpone the Atco Gas and Pipeline Franchise Agreement.

Council Reporting Mayor Marcel Michaels: Attended the 2022 Alberta Municipalities’ Convention and Trade show. Noted that the Waste Management Authority is looking to add a new partner to the group, MD of Greenview. Thanked Novus Earth and other companies who took part in the inaugural Hinton Energy Festival.

Councillor Haas: Attended the 2022 Alberta Municipalities’ Convention and Trade show. Noted that Hinton Youth Advisory Council is accepting applications.

The floor is open at the beginning of the meeting to the public to share with Council members, Administration and meeting observers. To ensure this time is constructive and welcoming to those participating and those present, the guidelines to the public for Minute with Council are, - Keep your discussion to no more than one minute in length;

- Refrain from asking questions of Council or Administration, as this is not intended to be a Q&A session; and
