Press Release: CAO Announcement
August 17, 2022 Dear Citizens of Hinton, Mayor and Council are thrilled to announce that Jordan Panasiuk has accepted the permanent position of Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the Town of Hinton. He will start in this role on October 17, 2022.
Jordan joins Hinton from Big Lakes County, where he has served as CAO for the last three years. He started his career as a Municipal Intern with Lamont County after completing his Bachelor of Commerce at MacEwan University. He went on to be Director of Community and Protective Services, Deputy CAO, and CAO of Big Lakes County. Jordan acknowledges he has followed in his father’s footsteps in his career, as his father served on a Town Council. Jordan took an early interest in Municipal administration and assisted a Council on their Strategic Plan while he was a student. Throughout Jordan’s career, he has shown that he is wise beyond his years and his calm, thoughtful, and confident demeanor has furthered the success he has had in his roles.
Mayor and Council are excited for Jordan to bring his successes, knowledge, and expertise the Town of Hinton Administration. Many applicants applied for this position and all applications were thoroughly vetted and reviewed by Council with the support of Vogel Group Recruitment Firm.
Council and Administration would like to thank Paul Hanlan, interim CAO (ICAO) for all the work that he has done with that Town since January. Paul has laid the groundwork for Jordan to make the transition smooth and efficient. Paul has been dedicated in his role as ICAO and we are sad to see him go, but we thank him for all his hard work and many hours he committed to improving the Town and supporting Administration. We wish Paul nothing but the best on his next adventure.
Please join us in a warm welcome to Jordan to the Town of Hinton. Regards,
Marcel Michaels Mayor
