New Roller Skating Drop-ins for Summer 2022
July 6, 2022
You asked, we are rolling with it!
On the heels of the great success of Rolling in the Rockies, we are adding to our drop-in roller skating slots at the Dr. Duncan Murray Recreation Centre.
Keeping an eye on emerging trends in the recreation sector is part of how we serve our community best, and the Arena Parks Supervisor, Chad Oshanyk, is excited to announce these revisions to the 2022 Summer Leisure Guide. The change may be small, but we are hoping that it has a BIG impact!
The drop-in roller skating slot on Fridays has been changed to a Family Toonie Roller Skate from 6-7:30 pm and we have added a Toonie Roller Disco from 7:30-9 pm. All through July, there will also be drop-in Family Roller Skate sessions every Sunday from 12-4 pm.
And as if that wasn’t enough, Challenge in the Rockies, the organizers behind Rolling in the Rockies, have sponsored Family Roller Skate drop-ins on upcoming Saturdays. The free sessions will be on July 9 from 6-9 pm, and July 16, 23, 30, and August 6, from 2-4 pm and 6-10 pm.
We hope this programming change entices all ages to come out and give this activity a whirl.
See you skater!
