Congratulations to the 2022 Seniors Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient

The Town of Hinton would like to extend a huge congratulations to Bill Bulger, the recipient of the 2022 Seniors Lifetime Achievement Award.
Bill was named the 20th recipient of the award at a special Seniors Lunch at the Hinton Centre on June 6, as part of Seniors Week events.
Bill was nominated by his daughter Joy Burkinshaw, who said:
Bill has been very involved with regards to volunteering for over the past 20 plus years in Hinton. He had been a board member and chair of the board for the Yellowhead Emergency Shelter.
He has helped raised funds for the Hinton Health Care Foundation. Bill has been the Padre for both the Legion and the Fire Department. He also sat of the Board when The Town of Hinton had a FCSS Board.
Bill was a board member with The Rotary and is now a Friend of the Rotary.
He has volunteered for the MS Bike Tour, the Wild Mountain Music Festival, The Hinton Nordic Skiers as well as the Hinton Food Bank. Bill was also a volunteer with YRAF.
Bill was a founding member and a member of the original Board of Directors for BRIDGES he was involved for more then 20 years. He was also one of the volunteer organizers and on the Board for Neighbourlink when it was brought to town.
Bill was also instrumental in having Hinton grandfathered into the Habitat for Humanity program. He acted as Project Manager and volunteer builder in the construction of 2 duplexes in Hinton.
He also served on the Board of Directors for United way.
The Town also congratulates the seven other nominees for the 2022 Senior’s Lifetime Achievement Award: Shirley Roy, Chris Bourne, Ruth Pratt, Erick Rosendahl, Antonia Bertolin, Pat Graham, and Ted Peterson.
