In accordance with the Covid-19 restriction changes announced yesterday by the Province, the Restriction Exemption Program (REP) is no longer in place as of February 9, 2022. The public health measures being taken by the Town align with the new Provincial guidelines, and the REP is no longer in effect to access the Dr. Duncan Murray Recreation Center and Council Chambers and the Committee Room. Access to all other Town facilities remains unchanged, as the REP was not required in those buildings.
Masking does remain mandatory in all Town Facilities.

No Longer in Effect:
Restriction Exemption Program (REP): Proof no longer required of QR Codes/Medical Exemption/Negative PCR upon entry to access the facility.
In Effect:
Masking: Masking remains mandatory for all guests entering the facility unless medically exempted. Masks can only be removed when participating in pool programs, bouldering, ice & court activities. At this time, the Town of Hinton has the Mandatory Face-Covering Bylaw 1163 in place, click here for more info.
Physical Distancing: The provincial mandates no longer specify the requirements for physical distance. However, it is encouraged that guests continue to respect and practice physical distancing around staff and other patrons.
Capacity Limitation: The Bill Thomson Arena spectator area still has a capacity limit of 500 attendees.
