Weekly Pool Boiler Update
June 24, 2021
The Town’s Infrastructure & Development Services Department in conjunction with the Community Services Department are committed to keeping the community up to date on the progress of the Hot Tub and Play Pool boiler replacement work.
After meeting with WSP engineers last week to assess if a temporary solution would be possible in order to provide access to the basins sooner, the following was determined:
WSP was able to locate the required boilers that will meet the needs of the facility from within Canada.
Temporary heating options could be sourced and installed, however, with the procurement of the above-mentioned boilers, a permanent solution can now be completed within the same time frame that a temporary fix would have provided.
The project team expects that by procuring the boilers from Canada, delays related to shipping have been reduced. The tentative project completion date is expected to be in one month’s time.
At this time, while the pool facility is open, the Hot Tub and Play Pool remain closed. Further updates will be provided on a weekly basis.
