Reminder: Beaver Boardwalk Priorities
The Town of Hinton and Beaver Boardwalk Committee wish to remind all residents that there are still two days left to submit your responses to our Beaver Boardwalk Survey. The survey will close at 11:59 pm on February 16, 2020.
Please review the previously issued CivicSends below to find relevant links and information regarding this survey and engagement opportunities carried out so far.
PREVIOUS (February 04, 2020): Beaver Boardwalk Engagement Updated
The Town of Hinton would like to share some updates regarding our ongoing Beaver Boardwalk engagement.
First, a thank you to those of you who have already taken part and shared your feedback. Some of the items identified as problems and challenges have been updated for a better user experience, including a pdf downloadable map (available here), updated imagery with further labeling in the form, and more labels on the Google Map page (including immediately identifiable regions and sections, and expanded definitions when sections or regions are interacted with).
For context, we've also included an explanation of the digging deeper pages, which populate based on previous responses so as to minimize time needing to be invested to share your opinions.
Please Note: It has been brought to our attention that some iOS devices have difficulty opening the map in the browser. Please either use the pdf (available here) for map references, or download the Google Maps app to allow the layers to appear correctly.
Other Venues of Participation
We're also happy to share that further options for sharing your opinion are now available. Print copies of the survey will be available at the ISB, West Fraser Guild, Government Centre, and Dr Duncan Murray Recreation Centre before end of day Tuesday.
Assistance Available
In addition to the print versions now available, the talented staff of the Hinton Municipal Library are now prepared to assist anyone who'd appreciate a helpful hand in navigating the map and survey. The Hinton Library location also offers computers for public use, offering a different option for those without computer access.
PREVIOUS (January 31, 2020): Beaver Boardwalk Priorities
To help evaluate community appetite, priorities, and usage, the Beaver Boardwalk Committee of the Town of Hinton is looking for your input.
Multiple avenues of engagement will be made available for residents and visitors to share their insight into this community feature.
Online
Starting on January 31, 2020, the Town of Hinton is making a survey and interactive map tool available to gather feedback on behalf of the Beaver Boardwalk Committee. The tool is available here until February 16. Want to help us get the word out? View the Town of Hinton Facebook page to find links and images.
In Person
The Beaver Boardwalk Committee has been welcomed to appear at the Parks West Mall on Saturday February 8, 2020 from 12pm - 4pm. On location there will be devices to allow you to immediately share your feedback through the survey, as well as a display to assist in the viewing and understanding of the map, regions, and sections identified.
Map
Want to start viewing the regions and sections ahead of attending the mall event, or preparing your own survey responses? Our custom Google Map is available here, and you can view it 24/7. For those unfamiliar with this Google Map tool, note the side bar to the left serves as both a legend, and customization tool, enabling you to hide and show contextual information as well as highlight referenced sections or areas for your understanding.
Don't forget to get involved before February 16!
