A space by men, for men
The Town of Hinton and Rural Mental Health are exploring the idea of starting a Men’s Shed in our community — and we want your input.
What is a Men’s Shed?
A Men’s Shed is a welcoming space where men gather regularly to work on meaningful projects, share skills, and build friendships. Activities can include woodworking, fixing bikes, gardening, small repairs, or simply connecting over coffee.
Men’s Sheds are built on a simple idea: doing things together is good for health and wellbeing.
A Men’s Shed Provides:
- A sense of purpose and belonging
- A way to learn and share practical skills
- A relaxed environment for conversation and connection
- Support for mental and emotional wellness
Whether you enjoy hands-on projects or just a chance to socialize, a Men’s Shed is about creating space — not just physical, but social and emotional — for men to thrive.
