The Town of Hinton is excited to announce significant updates to its Public Transit System starting February 1, 2025. Feedback revealed strong community support for extended service hours and improved route efficiency.
The Town of Hinton is excited to announce updates to its Public Transit System, taking effect February 1, 2025. These improvements are informed by community feedback from the 2018 Dantec Transportation Study and the 2024 Public Transit Survey to better serve residents with increased efficiency and convenience.
Key Service Updates
- Reduced Route Times – The one-hour bus loop is now a 40-minute schedule, reducing wait times and improving service frequency.
- Streamlined Bus Stops – Some stops have been removed or relocated to improve efficiency.
- Adjusted Service Hours—Service will now operate Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. There will be no service on Sundays or statutory holidays.
Important Rider Information
- Transfers: Passengers can transfer within each 40-minute loop for continued travel.
- Arrival Times: The bus will arrive at approximately the scheduled times. Travel times may be affected by construction, weather, bus stop demand, or train crossings.

- Bus stop #34 at Smith Street & Dow Drive
- Bus stop #35 at Smith Street (Holiday Inn & Express)
