Dear Business Owners and Residents:
As part of planned maintenance and services activities, the Town of Hinton along with West Fraser Mill will be conducting a complete shutdown at the Water Treatment Plant in June. As such, we will be issuing a water restriction effective 9:00 am June 10, to 10:00 pm June 12. Multiple Town services will be closed during this water restriction period, such as the spray park and bulk water stations.
The Town acknowledges the burden that this water restriction puts on residents and local businesses, and the Town is kindly asking you to do your part during this shutdown, and refrain from the following during the water restriction:
- Watering lawns, gardens, and trees
- Washing of driveways, decks, and sidewalks
- Filling of pools and fountains
- Vehicle washing
At this time, we are not asking any businesses to close or to reduce services or hours throughout this water restriction period. However, we will be closely monitoring the situation and may implement mandatory measures if required.
A follow-up notice will be sent June 5th – 9th to remind you of this upcoming water restriction as we get closer to the water plant shutdown.
