Hinton’s annual Volunteer Fair, a crucial opportunity for citizens to connect with local organizations, is coming up soon.
This significant event is a chance for Hinton’s non-profits and charities, including support groups, fundraising groups, and sports clubs, to promote the important work they do in our community and recruit new volunteers.
If you are looking for an outlet to offer your time, heart, talent, and skills, come and connect with local organizations at the Volunteer Fair on Tuesday, April 18, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Performing Arts Theatre Hinton (PATH). There will be free popcorn for attendees looking where they can volunteer in Hinton.
It is free for local non-profits and charities who utilize volunteer help to host a table at the Fair, and organizations will be treated to a free burrito bar before the event opens. The Volunteer Fair is a traditional element of National Volunteer Week, which this year is from April 16-22. The theme for 2023 is ‘Volunteering Weaves Us Together’, which speaks to the importance of volunteering to the strength and vibrancy of our communities through the interconnected actions we take to support one another. These diverse forms of sharing our time, talent and energy strengthen the fabric of our community.
In recognition of National Volunteer Week, the West Fraser Guild and Green Square will be illuminated in green lights for the duration of the week.
