The Town of Hinton is pleased to announce that the updated Parks and Recreation Coordinator position has been filled by local Hintonite Stacey Cherry.
Stacey brings a wealth of experience back to the Town. She has a great educational background starting with a recreation diploma from Lakeland College, as well as years of experience both as an entrepreneur in recreation and covering for two maternity leaves in this very position.
“Stacey works very well with our existing staff and we are all very excited to have her passion and professionalism returning to our team,” said Parks, Recreation and Culture Manager, Christopher Read.
The addition of Parks to this portfolio will bring all sorts of benefits to our community, expanding the “Hinton Connects” umbrella to cover all organizations that deliver better quality of life to our residents through recreation services both inside and outside our facilities.
Stacey is looking forward to sharing her passion for parks and recreation with the community. She begins work full time in her new position on July 20, 2015.
