Below, you'll find quick ways to stay informed about recreation programming, facility bookings, and event rentals. Be sure to plan ahead, as some bookings have deadlines or limited availability. Daily Rec Centre Schedule & General Info
- A recorded update with daily programming details is available at 780-865-6066.
- Customer Service Representatives are available at 780-865-4412 to assist with questions about parks, pools, courts, arenas, or event bookings.
- Have a complaint or concern? Submit it online through Hinton Listens for follow-up.
Joint Use Planning Agreement (JUPA) School Bookings
- Pool or Swim Lessons – Contact the Aquatics Supervisor
- Arenas & Courts – Booking requests can be sent to the Front Desk at rectil@hinton.ca.
- School Space Bookings After Hours – Availability inquiries can be directed to the Recreation & Culture Supervisor at kcarson@hinton.ca.
Aquatics Facility & Program Bookings
- Available booking times: Monday through Friday, 10 –11:30 a.m. & 1–2 p.m., and Saturday through Sunday, 1–2 p.m.
- Bookings outside these times must be requested before each Guide submission deadline and are approved case-by-case to limit public programming disruptions.

Ice User Groups & Ice Allocations
- The Recreation & Culture Supervisor determines ice allocations.
- New and established Ice User Groups must submit allocation requests by June 1st for the upcoming season.
- Allocations may change monthly based on user requests and public programs. These updates are communicated in seasonal Guides.
Event Rentals – Tents, Speakers, Showmobile & More
- Event equipment rental requests must be submitted using the Event Rental Inventory Form available online: Equipment Rental | Hinton, AB - Official Website.
- Limited inventory – book early! Submitting a request does not guarantee availability.
- For rental inquiries, email events@hinton.ca.
