Thanks to the Alberta Days Grant, we are pleased to present our first event of the "Alberta Day Inside and Out", Alberta Beautiful @ the Green Square. 

Join us for an unveiling of metal silhouette banner miniatures (2’ x 4’) commissioned by the Town as streetscape art and culture enhancements to beautify Highway 16 . This series features distinct Alberta iconography of wildlife, flora and fauna, Indigenous heritage, and pioneering as themes selected to represent our mountain town by the Hinton Youth Advisory Council. Installation of the full-sized banners is slated for Fall 2023.  

The banners capture and express Alberta’s identity to people who live and work here and the millions of motorists travelling East to West on the Yellowhead annually.

The event is an unveiling of the silhouette miniatures in Green Square near the Visitor Info Centre and Hillside Business community, including a meet and greet and Q&A with the artist, local Judi Rusk, as well as a free lunch. Lunch to be catered by the Old Grind: first come, first serve with limited vegetarian options available.
