Please join us on May 5th for a self guided awareness walk for Red Dress Day and the national day of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and Two Spirited Individuals. Red Dress Day, also known as the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and Two-Spirit People, is observed annually on May 5th. The walk features red dresses hung from the trees representing the MMIWG + that have never come home. It will start at the Hinton Friendship Centre (upstairs at the Hinton Centre - 965 Switzer Drive) and continue up Switzer Drive, turning under the overpass and leading back to the Centre. Refreshments will follow the walk at the Centre.

Red MMIWG Hoodies will be for sale on site for $40 with all proceeds going towards Hinton Friendship Centre programming. Cash only please. Hoodies can be purchased in advance by calling the HFC.
