Community Lunch - December 18, 2018
The December meal will be prepared and served by a caring group of individuals in Hinton. They will serve tourtiere (French-Canadian meat pie) with minestrone soup. This will surely warm you up on a cold December afternoon. See you there!
The Hinton Community Dinner Program is run by a committee of volunteers and chaired by a Town of Hinton, Family and Community Support Services staff member. Our budget is very limited and we rely solely on community donations to make this program a success. The monthly meal program serves meals to a wide range of people, with approximately 100 people at each meal. Our goal is to provide people in our community with a free meal and an opportunity to meet and connect with others. We also hope that the Community Dinner Program gives businesses the opportunity for positive face-to-face interactions with community members.
We work hard to provide this valuable service to the community and we believe that all members of our community can play an active role in enhancing the well-being of our community. We are proud of what we offer and of the community support we receive.
