CAO’s Office

As the lone employee of Town Council as well as the Chief of Administration, the Chief Administrative Officer represents both the elected, and bureaucratic, aspects of municipal governance. The CAO provides overall strategic advice and administrative leadership to ensure the municipal organization meets public needs, with a primary focus on the effective management of Town resources while providing the highest quality of life for the citizens of our community and our region.

CAO's Role & Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:
  • Providing analysis, options, and recommendations to the council and ensuring implementation of all council decisions
  • Providing overall administrative leadership to ensure successful operation of all town services
  • Providing services in accordance with Town Council's Strategic Plan
  • Duties outlined in the Chief Administrative Officer Bylaw No. 1159
