PLEASE PLACE THE WHEEL TOWARDS THE CURB

We cannot properly grab and lift your bin with the wheels facing the centre of the road

BUT NOT AGAINST IT, OR IN THE PATH OF TRAFFIC

Resting the bin against the curb can cause the bin to catch in mid-lift, potentially causing hazardous situations or damage to the lifting mechanism.

AVOID PLACING TOO CLOSE TO VEHICLES

Give about 1-2 metres between your car and the bin to allow for our automated loader to retrieve your bin.

OR TOO CLOSE TO YOUR NEIGHBOURS BIN

Give about 1-2 metres between bins to allow for our automated loader to retrieve your bin without knocking over your neighbours.

DO NOT OVERFILL YOUR BINbag garbage 2

Overfilling bins can cause unnecessary wear and tear on our machines, as well as causing unsafe situations when tipping and emptying.  We will not pick up any garbage that falls out of bins.

BAG ALL GARBAGE

As per Bylaw 933 loose garbage may spill out in tipping, causing an unsafe and bag garbageunsightly scenario. It is the homeowner's responsibility to ensure all waste is bagged. Bylaw Services will be called if loose garbage is spread around.
