Need a Bike? Protective Services May be Able to Help!

For some time, the Hinton RCMP have operated a bike recovery program, which offered area residents a location to drop off found bikes, check for lost or stolen bikes, and, if they need it, claim abandoned bikes. This year, Hinton Protective Services is taking over that program

How it Works
When a bike is found or turned in, it will be held for 45 days. After that time, bikes will be repaired by Scott Mantai of Hinton's Bike Boy Repair Services, and will then be made available for anyone who needs it. All recipients need to do is complete a short statement to receive a bike.

Bikes Don't Need to be Found/Reclaimed
If you have a bike you and your family are no longer using, you can donate that bike to the Hinton Protective Services department for rehabilitation and donation to the bike program.

More to Come
There are plans in motion to grow the program, to potentially include helmets, and even a bike rodeo in the future; stay tuned to this page to find out more!
